Kennedy Picou attended Cy-Fair High School in Houston, TX from 2015 to 2019. Kennedy was named District 6-A MVP in 2018 and 2019. She made First Team-All District in 2017, 2018 and 2019 as well as being named Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and Offensive Player of the Year in 2019. Kennedy broke the school record with the highest batting average of .657.

Kennedy has played softball for 12 years. 5 of those years playing up with the 18U TX Intruders, winning multiple championships and placing 9th out of over 100 teams in the Colorado Triple Crown Tournament.

Following High School Kennedy played one year at Texas State University as a 3rd/1st baseman.
