Blake Mayfield played Baseball at Marcus High School. He was a three-year letterman from 2017-2019. Blake was named District Newcomer of the Year in his Sophomore season at Marcus HS. During his junior year in 2018, Blake was named District MVP while leading all of Texas High School Baseball in strikeouts with 138. He was also named First Team All-State. In the summer of 2018 Blake competed in events across the country such as PG National Showcase, Area Code Games, and the PBR Super 60. During his senior campaign he was named First Team All-District Pitcher, and again First Team All-State.
After Marcus High School Blake attended Texas A&M University on a Baseball and Academic Scholarship. He spent the fall of 2019 and winter of 2020 at Texas A&M. This season was ultimately canceled due to COVID-19. Blake then transferred to Weatherford Junior College in Weatherford, Texas. He pitched 2 seasons for the Coyotes and accumulated almost 40 innings in two years work out of the bullpen.
Blake has now decided to move on from Baseball due to continuing struggles with his shoulder. He has earned his Associates Degree from Weatherford College in 2022 and is planning on attending The University of North Texas in the fall of 2022.
Blake is available for Pitching & Hitting Lessons.
